Hot off the press ...

Road to Seattle - GAC's exciting news

Five months to go!

Shortly, GAC will welcome the Stage Coaches to assist GAC achieving a stage presence to complement the A- vocals.    The Stage Coaches bring a wealth of experience and talent, with Janie Tamarkin a Sweet
Adelines International Faculty member, Karen Sweeters a certified Expression Judge, and Gina Kaiser a certified Showmanship Judge

GAC are absolutely thrilled to announce that they will be coached by Dale Syverson,  Master Director of the current international champion Rich Tone Chorus.  With several chorus sessions spread over a week, and many members participating in personal vocal instruction sessions, GAC look forward to spending time with someone who is considered to be one of the top coaches worldwide. Dale is a 5 time international gold medal winning chorus director, a certified Expression Judge, Approved Sound Judge and a member of the Sweet Adelines International Board of Directors.

Road to Seattle - GAC begins its journey!

GAC has just begun one of its most exciting years yet. As New Zealand's Sweet Adelines champion chorus, we will represent our country at the international competition in the United States later this year.

The chorus has eight months to prepare for its performance at the Key Arena, Seattle, and this promises to be an exciting period of growth and development for us. The international Sweet Adelines competition draws thousands of singers from choruses worldwide.

This year GAC will be competing against 32 other choruses from the United States, United Kingdom and Sweden, in the quest to become one of the top ten choruses in the world.

GAC's regular weekly rehearsal schedule has begun and our already packed calendar for 2010 includes sessions with two top US coaches, Carole Kirkpatrick (April) and Sandy Marron (September).

It's going to be an exhilarating year for GAC!

Join us on our journey!
